Project Description
The Bridge of Bamboo and Stone was an entry into a competition sponsored by Arup Cause. It was voted most beautiful in a popular vote. The bridge structure consists of arched bamboo beams that begin on a rock berth and spring to both sides. The Wu Zhi Qiao (Bridge to China) Foundation is a registered charitable organization in Hong Kong. It mobilizes university students, professionals and volunteers to actualize sustainable bridge projects. The association aims to improve the livelihood people in remote areas by providing foot bridge building.
